Meet Edyee Sturgill, DMD, MD

Dr.-Sturgill-black-and-white-photoDr. Edyee Sturgill is originally from Russell, Kentucky.  She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1988 with a BS degree in Biology. Following graduation she attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and received her DMD degree in 1992. After earning her DMD degree, she went to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and graduated with an MD degree in 1995.  She completed one year of General Surgery as well as her residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt. Dr. Sturgill served as chief resident in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 1997-1998, completing her training in 1998. She then entered into private practice and moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 2000.

Dr. Sturgill continues her education through annual CE courses, exceeding the established recommendations. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. She is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Dental Association, and the Kentucky Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Sturgill married in 1991, and she and her husband have two children.
